The Person Behind The Practice
Hello!
I’m Beth Amos, BSc (Hons) MSc PGDipSW
I've spent over 20 years working with children and families across education, social care and mental health - including 13 years in local authority children's services, and over 5 years in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as a mental health practitioner and ADHD clinical lead. I currently work as a children’s autism assessor within an NHS commissioned service.
I hold undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in psychology, and I am a qualified independent social worker, registered and regulated by Social Work England. I am also an autism parent - which means I understand this not just professionally, but personally.
“I created Wildflower Neuro because I saw so many families in limbo - unsupported, uncertain and unsure whether what they were seeing in their child was 'enough' to warrant assessment and how to manage things. You deserve real guidance, not more waiting or continued confusion.”
My approach is neuro-affirming. I look for your child's strengths as well as their challenges, and I understand that what looks like "difficult" behaviour is almost always a nervous system response to feeling overwhelmed or misunderstood. When parents understand what's really driving their child's behaviour, everything starts to shift.
